New Japan Ambassador to follow footsteps of PM Modi & Shinzo Abe, to foster heart-to-heart friendship with India

NEW DELHI. Japan’s new Ambassador to India Hiroshi Suzuki (61) – a trusted diplomat of former Japan Prime Minister late Shinzo Abe, has reiterated that following the exceptional friendship Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe enjoyed, he, too, would like to foster heart-to-heart friendship with the people of India.



“I would be grateful if you could extend to me your kind support and cooperation,” Ambassador Suzuki said in a message after presenting his credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu on November 28. He assumed his post of Ambassador of Japan to India on November 9.

“Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe held 15 bilateral summits from 2012 to 2020.
