Japanese AC king Daikin looking for land in Haryana for its 3rd factory?

Haryana government has offered multiple locations to leading global manufacturers of air-conditioning systems Daikin India in and around Gururgram.

Having set up two manufacturing and one R&D facilities in industrial hub Neemrana on Delhi-Jaipur expressway in the neighboring state Rajasthan at the cumulative investment of over Rs. 2100 crores, Daikin is looking for a patch of land for its 3rd manufacturing facility. The estimated investment outlay for its next project ranges between Rs. 600 and 1000 crores.

The new development took place during a hi-level video-conferencing held between top-notch executives of 35 Japanese companies as well as JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and JCCII (Japan chamber of Commerce and Industry in India) representatives with senior Haryana government officials. The event was coordinated by Invest India.

The Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Ambassador of Japan to India Hatoshi Suzuki recently were also present in the meeting.

Toshiharu Tsurumaru, Deputy Managing Director, Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, a global leader in the manufacturing of commercial-use and residential air conditioning systems, was also present in the meeting. Read more...
